Oracle oc4j users were used to install the server by just unzipping it to the destination. This changed when Oracle moved to WebLogic, which required an installer setup.
With WebLogic Server 10.3.3, Oracle brought back the zip based installation for development (Development-Only Installer). Important for Mac users: without big announcement, this one is now certified with MacOS.
